Unique pieces and artisan quality
In Latin “Singularia” indicates words that do not have plural: we thought it was a suitable name for a collection of furnishing objects made up entirely of unique pieces, created for those who want to customize their home with products of true quality craftsmanship.
Each of the objects presented in this catalog carries its own history, which can be dated back to the eighteenth century as well as to the 70s, and has been selected by people with decades of experience in the sector who have not just restored the object as it was, but they reinterpreted it to allow it to continue its history in new forms.
New fabrics, new essences, new colors, addition of accessory elements or a real transformation of use may have made that object rigorous or eclectic, romantic or provocative and playful, but always an “objet d’affection” created for buyers who shun the fashions of the moment and standard industrial products.
Nothing to do therefore with antiques or vintage, but rather with the emotion of rediscovery and with the belief that in the world there are already beautiful objects that are waiting to be recovered and loved by those who are able to appreciate their uniqueness and, at the same time, who care about the environment and the planet in which we live.
Traditional techniques and natural materials
The objects of the Singularia collection originally come from different places, but have all been restored and finished in Cascina, in the province of Pisa, in specialized artisan laboratories using traditional techniques and natural materials.

Cascina has an ancient and extraordinary tradition in the world of craft furniture, and in particular of woodworking. In the past, great architects, as Ettore Sottsass, Ugo La Pietra, Paolo Portoghesi and others, came to Cascina to create prototypes, furniture for public and private projects and new collections.
This tradition is still alive today in some small, well-known industrial companies in the high-end segment of design furniture still present in the area – such as Ceccotti or Edra – and in a few laboratories run by blacksmiths, carpenters, master glassmakers and upholsterers of great talent and experience that produce products of extraordinary quality. Singularia is honored to be part of that tradition and to contribute to enhancing it.
